Near the 21000km mark.. !
If I count right I should only have 6km left to the next big 'km stone' of the run and less than 500km to Cape Town :-) The 21 000km was within reach today, but on a long4km uphill streatch over a mountainpass after a beautifull 10km down along the ocean I got a slight strain in the calf muscle in the right leg. Nothing serious and most likely due to the sudden drop in temperature (giving more stiff muscles & tendons). Though tempting to run the last 6km to get 'the km-mark' today I choose to give the body due time to recover - that is more or less the approach needed to do runs like wr1 & wr2. But also a reminder that a long rest is due after Cape Town !
Luckily I have a perfect place to stay and rest befor tomorrows run: I'm accomodated free of charge at the Boardwalk Lodge (www.boardwalklodge.co.za) at Wilderness Bay - a 4 star luxury resort w. large wooden chalets overlooking the breaking waves down at the beach and the green nature park & mountains behind !
... What a contry to run in and what support here on the last contry on the first half of the run :-))
