Elapsed time: 02:30:12
Country: Africa
Start 08:38am., at brown exit sign "Old Toll Road ->" in Kneyssner city, on the N2 to Cape Town. 23c, half o.c. and l. wind. Finish 11:36am, at cross of the N2 & Kingfisher Dr., in Sedgefield, on the N2 to Cape Town. 31c, humid l. wind and same.
A fairly hilly stage in company of Peter (running company) and Ivan (crew). Very enjoyable and a good pace set by Peter - originally from Stuttgard in Germany w. many years of ultrarunning done, and very considerate crewing by Ivan, finding shaded spots for quick stops to get a drink of water on this humid day.
After the run I was accomodated free of charge at the Boardwalk Lodge (www.boardwalklodge.co.za) at Wilderness Bay - a 4 star luxury resort w. large wooden chalets overlooking the breaking waves down at the beach and the green nature park & mountains behind !
... Yes, the hospitality here in South Africa is Amazing !! :-)
