Elapsed time: 02:54:54
Country: Africa
Start 08:24am., at brown exit sign "Formosa Bay ->" in Plettenberg Bay, on the N2 to Cape Town. 20c, o.c. and strong wind. Finish 11:36am, at brown exit sign "Old Toll Road ->" in Kneyssner city, on the N2 to Cape Town. 21c, l. wind and same.
Very good run today: running company the entire stage by runners from Plettenberg and Kneyssner running clubs. And even downhill most of the way.. :-))
It was also the 3. day in a row with rain during the stage: I think I have had approximately 10-14 days of rain while running through Africa, North to South, ca. 12 000km / 11 months of running. That is perhaps in its own way a statement of the drought wich is a severe problem in East Africa ! Also here in S. Africa I have heard of farmers getting near to closing down due to lack of water and green growth.
But Nice to see that the rain is finally coming, atleast here !! Seem to be much appreciated by all I talk with :-)
Nb: The reports from 8 to 12 Feb. has been uploaded today. The nokia phone they were stored in had broken down sothe data had to be recovered.
