Elapsed time: 03:28:11
Country: Africa

Start 07:56am. at "Ironwood Lodge" on Fig Tree Lane in Pennington, 1km off rd. 102. 24c, o.c., humid and l. wind. Finish 12:01am. At "Khaya La Manzi Lodge" on Rivera Highway, in Hibberdene, 200m off rd. 102. 36c, half clear and same.

- Yet another day of change:

I ran on the old hwy 102 wich goes through some beautifull but quiet hilly terrain, making it a battle running uphill pushing the 40kg in front. The reward came after the stage staying at the "Khaya La Manzi Lodge" in Hibberdene: besides having a stunning view of the Indian Ocean its host, Arthur, is one of the most helpfull persons I have met ! :-)

- he quickly set wheels in motion solving some logistical problems, mainly finding car-support for the next couple of very hilly stages as I begin to run inland. Saving me the stress w. the stroller :-))

Arthur is also a man who likes a good discussion (like most South Africans I meet :-) and besides debating large parts of europes modern history making for a Very Interesting talk - he also noted that the rural area I had been running through could be a bit dangerous (violent crime is unfortunately high !). Though I must say that I only met friendly and quorious comments while I ran through the rural black-african areas (at a point a man came out while I was resting at top of a long hill asking what I was doing - then came out running w. a jar of cold water as he imagined I had to be very tired ! Wich I was, but friendly help in this contry pick my energy Up :-)
