Contrasts :-)
- South Africa is definate a contry of contrasts, also when it comes to the little details: yesterday I stayed in Scottbourough at the local hotel (the Blue Marlin, I think it was called);a big slightly worn out hotel - wich turned out to be probably the most overpriced hotel I have experiensed in 19 000km/ 2 continents (ca. 130usd./1.pers. for a two-star place ;-) ... But, today it was nearly the opposite :-))
After a short but hilly run pushing the stroller along the beatifull coastroad, I found a small bed&breakfast in Pennington. At first I didnt expect much after the absurd experience at the last place - yet what a change ! Seaview, private livingroom, kitchen, bedroom, large bathroom, private veranda, and a shared swimmingpool to relax in. The quality was on level w. what I have seen at Sheraton or Mariott thousand of km back when I took a "luxury recoveryday" there, in Egypt and Addis Abeba. But here it came at a very different price: around 1/3 of yesterdays place where I was lucky to get a fan in the celing & a shower to wash in ! Amazing difference :-))
