Christmas running calender, day 9:
The joy of beeing with yourself - what might else be called lonelyness - is somehow on the long sessions a moment where you can reach far into your self. Running through deep forrests, along coastlines or just on an 'endless' tarmac road in blistering sunshine its likely that you find an oasis of calmness wich allow you to settle deep into yourself or your "soul" :-)
Perhaps its the rare oppotunity not to have something you 'just have to do' (multitasking in a multi-choice society), or the "oneness" wich tend to emerge when your body & mind need to work together to get you forward, the almost meditative rythm of the shoes, breathing of the lungs and endless small steps; or perhaps just that this was how we were born to move :-)
- The world run certainly has lots of those moments and thats one of many reasons I like it ! When not in Africa beeing distracted a little bit by infections, diarea, dysenteria, malaria or the daily "white man !!" scream/greeting.. that is ;-)
The Good things in life seldom come undivided !
