Christmas running calender, day 8:
One of the biggest joys of running is getting in shape (though w. the warm humidity here in Mozambique it may be - getting in shade ;-).
Probably because running long distance is sucha hard sport in the beginning, once you start to get the feeling that your body is actually prepared to do More than you are asking it - thats where the fun begins :-) To a large extend I think there is little our body cant overcome in the area of long dist. running; it just takes patience & a mind that is ready to set aside its limits ! No matter wether your goal is to get in shape to run a 10km, a marathon or around the world :-) !
