Start 08:56am., at first village-sign at Valma village on the main rd. to Addis Abeba. 19c, clear and l. wind. Finish 11:19am., at steel bridge just South of Wortu village on the main rd. to Addis Abeba. 23c, medium wind and same.

- Short stage to prepare and get the legs max. fresh before the 40km stage w. 1500m alt. down followed by 1500m. alt. up through the scenic Blue Nile gorge/valley in 2 days from now.

Sometimes the schoolchildren that runs w. me for one or many km when I pass throuh, comes w. qurious or even philosophical comments (when they dont throw stones, that is); here is one from today:
