... And then there is suddenly a Good day in the ethiopian part of wr2 :-)

Had small and large groups of children running along with me allmost all day, often barefoot on tarmac and stones.

This time I once again tried to explainthats its not nice to scream "Yuo, YOU !!" and "GIVE ME .. !!!" as the only way to meet a foreigner - and it worked !! :-)

Why I dont know (I've tried all kinds of semi-pedagogic procedures w. no effect ;-)
But it became an enjoyable day as allmost every day is in all other contries of the world run !

While running across huge highland plains and up a few very steep passes we exchanged stories about running, talked ab. the nature, their school and the history of the great ethiopian runners - mainly Abebe Bikila who won Ethiopias first Olympic gold medal in Rome allmost 50 years ago. They all know him :-) Who by the way ran barefoot just like them !
... And a little talk about that they can reach just as far, also in school; if they never forget to have high goals :-)
Even if the difficulties are big !!

It was Great to have a peacefull day !!! As you can read in the last few reports that has not beenthe standard ;-)

- From tomorrow I'm entering into areas where it may be difficult to transmit the reports due to v. limited network capacity; even from the capital Addis Abeba. But I'll do my best to keep you updated about the 'ethiopian running adventures' - and surviving them :-)

NB: In Ethiopia gprs-service (global phone roaming service) is not yet avaliable for datatransmission. Therefore the Live-gps data cant be transmittet to the website as usual. It may first be avaliable in Kenya. Untill then traditional documentation is used: photo, logbook, video, wittness etc. !
