Start 06:35am, at "Woreta Hotel" on the main str. in Metema, Eth.. 21c, bef. sunset and no wind. Finish 09:56am., at telephonepole 165.070 (km-marker ) on the main road towards Gondar. 34c, clear and l. wind.
(Only very limited gprs / live-gps coverage. Probably none the next 160km!).

An allmost empty dust-road over the rising hills, a few tiny strawhut villages and cowherds taking rest under the few trees w. shade. A tent onthe savannah after the stage. Silence, besides the tropical birds, distant song from a village - and a cursing Viking' trying to create some shade w. a raincover put over 3 thornbushes (using 45min. getting stuck and stung ;-).

Not too bad a day afterall !!

But as the night sets one cant help wonder what else is out here - am I the top of the food chain, still; or has the agenda/menu changed ?
