Start 09:35am. At Lord Hotel in centre of Dongola. 26c, clear and l. wind.
Finish 16:02pm. At km-marker 441 to Khartoum on the West bank Nile road. 41c and same.

Had a real enjoyable run along the flat desert landscape thats only interrupted by the occational village out in the horizon towards the Nile - and huge camelherds of hundrets slowly swaying past in the yellow sand next to the road (should be 1 pic. of that in the "live coverage" section :-)

Tonight we set tents by the Nile. Birds singing in the trees, a fisherman slowly dragging his net through the water patientlywalking the low water. A 'tugging' water pump in the distance fertilizing the ground..

Not all idyllic, though:
Nearby a world runner throwing up vigorously ;-)
Fever, nausea, light dizziness and vomiting set in about 2h. after the run and appeart to be set to follow me through the night.
Hope to re-refuel before morning light and next stage !
