Start 09:25am., at stone monument "El Gouna" on small parrallel rd. to Suez Gulf road M65, ca 22km N. of Hugata. 24c, clearand l. wind. Finish 12:08pm., at "Canary Hotel" in Hugata. 34c and same.

After the food; proteins and vegetables along w. a 'healthy' amount of the various deserts the resort could offer - the short run today fealt like flying over the tarmac (though I realise my pace is a lot more like crawling.. ;-) But compared to running overheated and hungry from tent to tent, what a difference !!

I doubt I have had a similar challenge in my two decades as competitive runner. And its Nice to get a little breathing room' before the next empty desert streatch begins in 2days.

The accomodation in Hugada.. Also a thing to appreciate :-)
A small unassuming place but w. all the personal atmosphere and ambiance that often comes w. the lack of all the many "*" ! The maneager, a retired mathematic teacher, took good time to sit down, have a talk ab. the run, mathmatics and life in general :-)

Later, when the evening attendant arrived: a cup of tea, long talks. The experienses of the run. His life as a day attenmant at a lux. hotel near the beach & night portier here at the "Canary Hotel" in central Hugata.

And.. inevitably we also came to the topic of politics. Long interesting talk :-)
I found answers and reasons that made me better understand the troubles I had experiensed w. the official Egypt. And how to navigate in this matter. Much much apprciated !
