Goto: 2009-01-17 2009-01-19 Africa
2009-01-18:Distance today: 52.0 km (Accumulated: 9493.8 km)
Elapsed time: 04:54:11
Country: Africa
Start 08:00am., at km-marker "Zaafraana 53km" on Suez Gulf rd./M65. 14c, half overcast and l. wind. Finish 13:54pm., at "Sahara Inn" in Zaafraana. 29c, clear and med. wind.
A good stage where the legs fealt better than in a long time; light easy running !
Probably it didnt hurt that the scenery was the clear blue water of the Suez Gulf and a desert sun above. To make it even better a firm wind pushed me and the heavyloaded stroller in the back.. :-)
The fever is still increasing but somehow the dry warm sourroundings matching made it feel less uncomfortable - similar to 'swimming in warm water'
(if that makes any sence ? ;-)
Interesting to see was the 40km of tourist resorts under construction more or less all along the coast. One has to wonder if there is a demand and finance during the resession ? But a beautifull nature - though it seems there is getting less of it.
