Goto: 2008-12-29 2008-12-31 Africa
2008-12-30:Distance today: 45.0 km (Accumulated: 8777.0 km)
Elapsed time: 04:06:59
Country: Africa
Start 08:35am., at "3.1km" tarmack-mark on the Taba - Suez hwy, 2km past Taba Airport. 4c, grey mist and l. wind. Finish 14:35pm., at pipeline opening "GCP3" at the Taba - Suez hwy. 16c, overcast and same.
An un-usual overcast and misty day in the desert; quite cold. And great for the water supplies that hopefully will last the expected 5days of running and tenting across the Sinai.
Right after start I was met again by Kelley Nimmer who re-joined after having been delayed even more than I at the bordercrossing of Jordan and Egypt. The boatride itself had taken 11hours of chaos & waiting and.. 1h. of sailing.
Too polite to tell about the hassles he just re-appeared w. a smile & and appetite for desert running !
GREAT company:-)
