Start 08:15am., at km-marker "Amman 301km" on the desert hwy., ca. 27km N. of Aqaba. 7c, allm. clear and l. wind. Finish 12:27pm., at the Red Sea beach in Aqaba. 23c and same.

Leaving Jordan..

Strong impressions as I run down from the desert highlands and get the Rea Sea, Aqaba and the Israel and Egypt horizon into view.

Good company by Kelley from Usa, who lives in Prague, and will run w. me in the Sinai desert.
A nice meeting w. new arab friends and sharing of oppinions on life, religion, the Middle-East and.. running :-)

But also one of the very few bad experienses of this run. Trying to catch the ferry across the Red Sea to Taba in Egypt we are sent like cattle from port- to port and finally presented with the prospectof the promised ferry sail away - we are on the passengerlist, but told to stay ashore. Spending 5-6hours in the harbour as the sun sets and the muslesbegin to cramp in the sudden cold.

- Maybe the next boat.. !

So far from the helpfullness and friendship of the arab roads. But everything has an exception - and this could be no problem at all; if not that I want to protect the legs and the run :-)
