Recovery at Red Sea :-)
After troubles w. crossing w. the ship yesterday from Jordan to Egypt -using the land border 20km through Israel isnt an option as I else wont get visa for Egypt and Sudan.. - I took a much needed easy day of 20km recovery run.
Physically not so tired but mentally/motivationally Exhausted !
Arr. at 1am. night at the hotel on the Egypt side of the water after a v. disturbing experience w. 'Sinbad' boat company who after 5h. waiting in the harbour, seeing the ship come & go - threw my polite, quiet and travelcustomed friendfrom Usa, off the boat 1. min. before departure :-(
A part of a very ugly treatment by this company.
I am aware of the ongoing conflict in the nearby areas and that it may affect the feelings of people, ofcourse !
But to let private people pay for what they have no part in - is in my oppinion the opposite of courage...
In small or in large, when both sides in a conflict let the people pay for the political and historical mistakes. Only friendship from person to person reaching across borders can mend histories wounds - as in Israel and Palestine; and not good or bad plans by people who wants to lead.
