Start 07:52am., at exit to Maan city, 118km to Aqaba. 8c, overcast and hwy. wind. Finish 13:39pm., at exit to Tassan on thedesert hwy., 85km N. of Aqaba. 11c, allm.clear and storm.

Christmas evening :-)

- Even though it was a difficult day with a strong wind turning into adesert storm after a few hours, it turned out to be a Great Christmas evening, just as I had hoped:

The tent was set in a small valley in the orange sand. My friend from running through the Cz. republic, Kelley from Usa, joined me a few hours ago and is invited to dinner w. beduins nearby.

I am alone in my little tent under the clear stars and the howling wind. But as the darkness appears messages from friends all over the world begin to fload into thephone. They are my Christmas candle - and tonight I am with all my friends and families that I may not else see for thousands of kilometres.

I open a parcel from afar, reply, eat a little dinner and fall asleep as the happiest man under the stars :-)
