Start 07:53am, at the Syrian Passport control at the Turkish - Syrian border on rd.825/Arab route M51 near Kesaab. 7c, overcast and l. wind. Finish 13:26pm, at Hotel O. Khayam in Latakia, Syria. 11c, rain and same.

(NB: my danish simcard cant transmit the live gps & pic. from here. Ill find a Syrian sim. asap. Untill then documentation is done by photo, logbook, co-runners and video).

Allready late yesterday whenI exhausted reached the Turkish - Syrian Border I got the first impression of SYRIAN HOSPITALITY !

- Two members of the Syrian Sports Federdtions precidency had waited hours for me together w. the danish Consule and the Chief of Passportcontrol. They instantly enquired if there was Anything they could help me with !!
"The running-stroller or what it is; it must surely be difficult to run with ? No ? We will take care of transport of it so you can run easy :-) "

On todays stage my legs was still a bit stiff and the back hurting a bit after 6000km of pushing 35kg while running.

The last non-stroller running was in fantastic Finland. I have a gut feeling that Syria might be on level w. running in my 'running home'; Suomi.

During the stage today I had the joy of company by some top athletes from Syria last 10km, and v. friendly police mc-escorte all the way !

In the evening a long interesting press conference reg. the run & its ideals !
