Goodbye Turkey !!
A quite hard stage despite not beeing extremely long; steep hills up& down allmost non-stop.
But it was not only hard physically to exit Turkey !
It has been 1month and 8days of running straight across Turkey - and it has changed the way I look at and understand this contry of wich I knew little about before this run except for the few usual 'democracy headlines' in european media.
- ITS BEEN FANTASTIC !!
..Its nature, people, friendship and constant enthusiastic curiosity :-)
I dont think the run itself meant much to them (and I saw very few runners or joggers). But each day positive reactions to the stroller, that I come from far away, that Im running up a mountain (there were Many !!) ..or down a mountain.. Or tenting in the middle of a goatfield etc. :-)
Not a day without a few, or many, invitations to tea. Not, as I clicee-fully expected, to sell me a carpet or a shirt or a leatherdonkey - but in order to sit down and have a conversation with me !! Time. Pleanty of it :-)
Nature more richly variated and scenic than I expected. From semi-desert to green highlands, snowy mountains to beach resorts.
And a Beautifull introduction to the Muslim part of the run!
Todays run advice:
Patience pays :-) The more patience in your training the higher you'll reach !!
