Start 08:38am, at otel Sultasa in Mersin (Icel). 11c, clear and l. wind. Finish 17:12pm., at Otel Le Grand on rd.400 in Adana. 20c, sunset and same.

- One of the more dramatic stages of the run, in many ways...

Yesterday I had a roadside interview w. Turkish tv and newspaper in Erdemli (see todays L.P. pic. & link) wich gave an even bigger response than what I'm allready used to here in Turkey :-)

I was stopped for tea, talks, gifted newspapers w the article from people on the street and some 'photo situations' at the highway gasstations along w. signing of the article. I dont feel that its so much the run itself (as in Finland/Suomi :-) that inspires in Turkey; here its more the many contries involved and visited along w.the oddity of pushing a stroller.. !

It brings waves, smiles, curiosity & talks on an hourly basis since entering 1month ago :-)

But, today also brought one of the very few bad experienses of the run in Turkey and the run so far.
Running in the coastal tourist areas brings forward a different mentality - the "tourist"/people-industry mentality. Today I was stopped by 'Ahmet' on the highway to Adana. He wanted to see if he could get something out of the 'oppotunity' and followed by motorbike at roadside for 2hours. The highpoints beeing a couple of tries to wrestle the phone out of the hand and rammingthe stroller w. the bike. He appears on some of the Live-pic ;-)

Eventually Viking power prevailed and I could do the 71km run in unhassled friendship.
