[Sarah reports :-) ]:
Something happened this morning that really made Jesper and I realise that in our lives we take many things for granted: and that by God's grace and protection, we have been able to continue the run until now.
Mid-morning a cyclist from Sydney,Australia rode his bike along side us, sharing stories of his mammoth ride though Asia, India and the middle east. This cyclist, Ben, had such a child-like heart and enthusiasm and by the time we parted ways, it was as if saying goodbye to a true friend and brother. Our joy did not last however... 30 minutes later a motorist informed us that a cyclist from Australia had been hit by a car and was being rushed by ambulance to Ankara. Our australian contactPhil inquired with the Aust. embassy. Several hours later a police officer stopped to inform us that Ben had injuries, but fortunately no head or spinalinjuries. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Ben!
Sarah.
