A bad day !
- A day that started good; Sarah got the smile back, we enjoyed the run even sweeping in&out of highway traffic on the busy E90 out of Ankara. I got a gift (a nice picture-series of pilgrimage sights) at a gas station ! A good fit to my newly bourght "Living in the shade of Islam" by Ismail
Buyukcelebi to understand the Middle-East we run in better (Quran and the muslim practice of life) :-)
25km later we were both invited totea and our eagerness to run on in the rain was no answer - the restaurant rushed out on the street w. it to us !! As a gift, as usual we were not allowed to pay :-)
However; after 42km in cold rain we decided to camp. There were huge fields at roadside, behind distant hills a factory facility. But the acres belonged to "Tyrksat" who send out a van to get us out of the way in a hurry. In their good right, but a miserable situation; Sarah's stroller punctured, mud all over the strollers and the rain and wind increasing, for my part shivering w. cold. A few km further we had to put the tents down at highwayside.
- I guess the whole situation doesnt say so much about Tyrkcell (though its my experience that friendliness comes from people and very rarely from big companies as here; the more you have the more you protect and the less you see), what it does show is how fast one can get ungreatfull ;-)
