50' :-)
After the deep tiredness and exhaustion the last many weeks today turned out to be the first day that I got a fairly good distance done. In the nice and cooling rain the legs finally picked up some of the usual strength and before (too-) long the 50km's, and some fairly long hills.., was behind me.
Reino kept up very well also today and its a pleasure to have this kind of dedicated company and sponsorship ! As you can see at the pictures the accomodation after the run was excellent; and all rooms taken care of by Reino for the entire team. While its normally part of the experiense or even charm or cultural understanding to stay often in fairly basic local houses/hotels/cabins/tentgrounds/goat-salesmans-huts etc. during the world run's then its no secret that after a few years of running across continents it certainly is welcome with a little 'luxury' to rest&recover after a solid run. And somtimes the understanding of a region or culture also comes via its contrasts... :-)
NB: I expect to reach the finish line of world run 2 at the North-Eastern point of the continent, Cape Spear at St. John's, New Foundland, hopefully by 28. July. But as you will see if you look at the maps this will require a few days with running distances in the 100km-range.
