...Into the wilderness :-))
Finally the horizon is opening up ! It seems like there has been next to no real change in nature since I exited Florida with its tropical 'beach & palm' ambience and enterted the swamp-tarmac-and-concrete of the East Coast roads. The more enjoyable to now within a few days see the field of view seemingly grow larger for each 10miles: huge flats of open land, long rolling hills, small gentle curving mountains, deep forrests and a tiny road continuing into the thin line between the sky and the ground, far away.
This ofcourse also means that the days of motels & camping grounds are broken by wild-camping. Finding an unused trail or wheeltrack leading away from the road and into the proper wilderness. On todays pictures you can see two examples; yesterdays tent-site and todays. I think its obvious that its by far a much closer nature-experiense than the groomed campinggrounds w. showers, toilets, moved lawns..and prices that are almost as high as a motel room.
Certainly its also a joy that we see fewer and fewer of one of the common sights when running in the usa: "No Trespassing !" or "Trespassers will be prosecuted" and other unpleasant variants - yes, surely the land of freedom ;-))
For each step... I am getting closer to the freedom of the vast nature of Canada !
NB: The reports from the last few days will be uploaded soon. But since wifi-connections obviously will become more and more scarce as I head North, so will the delays also become longer.
