Restday... in the Everglades !

As you have been able to see the support and runner-company on my daily stages running Northe towards Canada has been Awsome here in Florida on my first part of the last continent of world run 2.

Because of this - I suddenly found myself one day ahead of scedule. So... I took a resday:

The 50mile/85km trail race in the Everglades wetlands national park down at the Soudthern tip of Florida. It was quite possibly the one of the toughest competetions I've done since I in my 29years of longdistance running as I very rarely do races on other than tarmac (most races are on that surface in Europe).

I'll put a proper race-report here later today, for the moment I need to get ready for the next days world run stage and continue the wr2. Put in very short: Great Race, a bit difficult, fell 7times within the first 2hours, through mud, water-holes, over-grown footpaths, but also fun & enjoyable once the 'comfortzone' had left the body. Finished 2. behind a strong Italian runner. Time 8:45hours (one hour slower than my 50mile split on my pb. on 100miles - so.. it was not an easy course ;-)

But, time to continue the run along highway 1... :-)
