On rails' :-)
A stage where I unlike yesterday had a large portion of the run as downhill ! The last few days the altitude during the stages has been in the range of approx. 2500 to 3500m. alt. And while its not extreme as for example the Cristo Redendor stage I had when running from Argentina into Chile (the pass at 4000m. alt.), then it still offers some fairly 'nice' uphill running on most of the days.
Growing up in denmark means that uphills are inherently a thing which the legs aren't much used to - my contry of birth is almost as flat as a land can get (denmark does have a hill with the name of "mountain"/Himmelbjerget - if one can call a hill of less than 200m. alt. a mountain ;-)),
So I definately appreciated todays largely downhill profile. But the uphills does have their advantage too: Great Views ! Hopefully I'll be able to harvest some of this reward during the next days as I am now quite close to a number of volcano's of between 5000 - 6000m. altitude :-)
NB: At the moment I am not able to upload the pictures from the stage. They will be uploaded w. a short delay depending on when I get the upload interface working again. But the gps-track is online - see the endomondo link below this report !
