...New shoes, Tired Legs ;-)
Today I had the pleasure of changing to a new set of running shoes. Always a nice thing as its often one of the only 'comforts' which is avaliable on the more remote streatches of the run :-)
However, this didnt make the legs forget the 28t. km's in them, or the 50km yesterday. But I did enjoy the ususual smooth ride' in Ecco's Biom Trail - a level of comfort in running shoes which I think at the moment is Unsurpassed by any running shoe brand. I dont ususally make a point of 'talking up' the sponsors; they make good products which stand for themselves, and the fact that they are lasting through an event literally around the world. But as far as Ecco's Biom running shoe line, then I've been amazed how far their delvelopment and progress has put them and their shoes since the first time I tried on a pair, about 5 years ago. A positive imput indeed to experiense each step forward :-)
After the stage another positive thing to be cherised: At out accomodation near Trujillo, I met Wilmer's mother who cared for us both with Excellent home-made dinner. A thing I have had in, ... I guess I've lost count !
