Start 11:42am., 28c, clear and l.wind, at km-stone "965" on hwy.1. Finish 15:13pm., 31c and same, at km-stone "935" on hwy.1.

Nice to feel that the last bit of the fever had gone - for a short moment it reminded an errie bit of the malaria endured in Africa at the first part of world run two; luckily none of the sort :-))

A long drive off the road to a quiet tent spot; yet, not so quiet afterall: around 3am. a truck came bumping down the dusty wheel-track where we had pitched our tents in an old sandy riverbed. Its one of those situations where you definately hope that the tents (and supportcar) is out of the beams of the headlights and any sound of the engine slowing down sends a fair amount of adrenaline rushing through the blood. This time, it continued its bumpy ride with no interruption :-) The same was the case, when it returned at around 4am. ;-)
