Start 10:20am., 19c, some clouds and l.wind, at green km-sign "1971" on hwy.5. Finish 13:44pm., 28c, cloudy and same, at small yellow km-sign "1991.500" on hwy.5.

Uphill !

As nice as the 17km downhill was yesterday, as brutal was it to begin todays run with 17km uphill on the other side of the valley.. ;-)

The reward was some beautifully sceneries as I got higher and higher up above the small 'desert-oasis farms' below - along with some amazing tiredness from not having any flat sections. So, I chose my stopping point quite early today as the legs had been more or less finished since km-2 today !

NB: The gps hasnt worked properly the last few days ! I am trying to figure out what the problem is. So far it only randomly - if at all - gps-stamps the pictures and the endomondo system doesnt start up at all. Jamie will fly in from Santiago in about 3 days with a new unit since this part of the documentation is crucial and I dont think I can fix the electronics out here in the desert.
