Forward again !
After the setback w. the car-repair (and missing shoe-packet & the related beginning injuries, buying new electronic equiptment after that also broke down, along w. buying a new watch to replace the one that also.. - yes its going well at the moment ;-)
- Then I was finally set to make forward distance again when the support-car was picked up at the mechanic in evening.
The focus by then solidly gone after seeing the budget, plan etc. go while sitting in the towtruck yesterday; Northbound, but not by running. A sad day.
But as the evening went, w. the icecaps of the Andes Mountains catching the sinking sun, the cool highland air setting, the fragrance of the winefields in the dark - ready for harvest now - Then hope and joy in the run slowly came back.
Still its very very early to struggle with this amount & this kind of problems w. 17 000km left to run, and I had the feeling of a heavyweight boxer hanging in the ropes' after onlya few rounds; shaken and struggeling to see a winning way forward.
Ultrarunning is all about the mental surplus to overview 'impossible' distances ahead, and when too many obstacles blur this view - your in Trouble.
However, sometimes strength comes when we are in trouble :-) The running pace on todays stage was the second fastest of the last 3000km and the injury-indications appears to be gone..
