An exception
The world runs are not political - except if experiencing helpfullness and friendship from people no matter which continent or culture can be considered political :-)
I dont have all the details, and I hope you can bear w. me on this exception of making a political comment. It may be offensive or incorrect as things sometimes look different from a tent on the other side of the world !
While struggeling on the last half of todays stage, tiredness having had a firm grip on the run for nearly a week now, then the pace and the temper suddenly picked up at the final kms:
I had just learned that my homecontry, Denmark, along w. the U.k., France and Usa, had begun a military attack on Libya.
This is by no means a defence for the Libyan regime!, but the scenario was all too familiar: a small, weaker contry beeing attacked by a couple of military superior states. Much reminding of scenarios in schoolyards around the world: a smaller pupil beeing beat up by a group of stronger kids. The explanations I am sure are there. But to begin war, is there Any explanation ?
Last time this scenario went down it was "weapons of massdestruction" (Iraq) - which turned out to be there. The contry left in RUINS. Quriously both w. large oilfields..
To see an "honorable" beating once again..
