Point of View
Today was a hard stage to get through. One of those mornings where you dont have to get out of the expeditiontent to know that the legs isnt going to make it an easy run !
On days like that I sometimes strike up a philosophical discussion - not to ignore the pain or tiredness (first I try to find out whats its reason & what to do about it) but in order to still get something good out of the day :-)It can be a persuit of one of the classical questions but on todays run it was a series of questions offered at each rest-stop between Jamie and I, tobe answered at the next stop 5km down the road..
We ended up w. a talk about wether "death" is to be feared or not ! Sensibly Jamie pleaded that it obviously is the big Unknown, and to be dreaded. While I do have fear - of spiders (see pic. in the 12/3 report !!) - then my point of view on our subject is that its a very natural part of life and not to be feared; else I should probably stay away from things like the two world runs ;-)
I guess there is abig beauty in knowing that our physical beeing will once again become part of the big Nature once we are finished with using it; all its atoms & particles becoming part of plants, animals, earth.. And our mind granted the big Rest :-)
But I do agree that it would be nice to reach ones goal first :-))
