Important Dates :-)
I guess some dates are more important than others and today is definately one of the more important to me as its the birthday of two persons who has had a big impact on making the run possible:
My Grandmother, 94y.o. today, who took me travelling to exotic places from the moment I was old enough to walk. Teaching me that the major experiences often are found down a few side-roads and not at the main tourist "sights" - and not least how to get by w. a few coins, a piece of dry bread and A Lot of stubboness :-)) ;-)
And the other, Kasper, who has his 40y. birthday today. Webmaster of both world run 1 & world run 2, father of my littlesisters two wonderfull kids :-) And one of the most modest and yet highly skilled persons I have met !
As my Grandmother was the first person to fully give her support when I got the idea ofthe 1. run around the world back in 2001 (to most others it was ofcourse too far fetched, but "impossible" isnt a word I think she uses ever..), then Kasper is the one who makes it possible for you to read these reports, finds technical solutions to all scenarios from a dynamo to charge electrical devices when running in deserts & other remote places, to ways of updating the website via sms when theres no data signal..
May They Both Live Long !!
