Start 09:37am., 22c, l. wind, clear. At city centre monument "Padre de la Patria, Neuquen, 1850 - 1950" in Nequen city. Finish 13:45pm., 29c and same. At small black & white km-marker "km 32" at hwy. 151.

A buddhist moment :-)

... After the disappointment with the packet disappearing upon entering Argentina a small story from the days in Nequen city, having a restday, waiting, getting angry about the packet, getting worried about continuing the run without its content of shoes and items from home, trying all options to retrieve that packet...

While I was staying those 3 days at the very friendly and enjoyable "Appart Hotel Casino" in downtown Neuquen I noticed a jewellers shop on the opposite side of the street. The small shop was the only one with lights on in the morning and the only one lit up in the evening while the blinds went down on all the other shops and businesses. Up from my room I could see a buddhist figure sitting amongst all the sparkling stones and gold rings in the shopwindow.

And in the middle of my worries in reguard of what to do without the packet and all its nice contents from home - then it was as if the buddah statue smiled up to me, saying: "Look where they have put me; in the middle of all these glittering stones, the most expensive - and useless things. What do you need the outside things for ? The path is always inside :-)"
