Start 08:00am, 22c, l. wind, a few clouds. At green rds. "Neuquen 169km" at road 2 to Neuquen. Finish 13:15pm, 38c, clear and same. At Bl.&white km-marker "km 1089" at road 2 to Neuquen.

Wildlife..
Today another warm stage but also a few nice sightings of nature here in theRio Negro region: eagles, 4-5 circling over a dead sheep near roadside, wild horses running slowly in the blistering sun - some of them quite meager, ribs showing clear under the skin & apparently struggling to keep up w. the rest of the heard; nature can be tough sometimes.

Tough is also the argentinian driving culture, as mentioned earlier. Today a sad sighting of a frontal crash between two trucks on a clear, straight, piece of road about 1km after my finish. Brutal to see; even the gearbox was smashed clear off the truck itself and only the cockpit left of one of them; the rest spread over a few hundred metres. Painfull to think of the drivers !
And painfull to see that this kind of driving goes on Each Minute of the day as far as I can see, running at roadside. Hopefully life will be valued better when taking care of eachother in traffic one day becomes the norm and not the rare exception in this elseway beautifull & friendly contry !

Untill then, I check over my shoulder for every car coming as I know nature wont have more pity w. my kind of "running wildlife" than with any other.. :-)
