Start 06:08am, 19c, m. wind, just before sunrise. At bl.&white roadsign "km 1561" on hwy. 3 to Bournes Aires.
Finish 10:28pm, 33c, med. wind and allmost clear. At bl.&white roadsign "km 1530" on hwy. 3.

Florentino Amaghino ?

- Who is that ? Who was he ? Why did they name a settlement after him ? And why is it empty and abanded ??

In other words: why, oh Why, couldnt there be a shower or even a small shop with a refrigerator w. COLD water to drink, ??? It would have been welcome after about 5days of hot tenting after the daily run ;-)

Instead it was a very promising dot on our map.

As it is, we contend ourselves with the fact that we can pitch our tents inside a building which still has a roof left and gives shade, while we wait for the temperature to creep up towards 40c..
