The order of things..

Yesterday the report told the creation myth as its told by the Tehuelche, the indigious people of this area.
During the next month Ill try to bring you some of their other tales & explanations of Lifes basic questions; which I find fascinating :- )

In many ways, ofcourse, the responses to lifes basic questions are very similar; no matter which culture we come from. If you compare yesterdays story w. that of cristianity, muslim, hinduism.. or indeed the myths of the shaman cultures in Asia&Siberia, the Inuit on Greenland, the aboriginals of Australia etc.; we are towards the big questions much the same.

My own take on this is, in all due respect to the various religions and beliefs, that its perhaps becauce we faced w. the big Questions - dont really have a clue !

The background of the world runs are, in their very amateur way, a small attempt to face some of these very basic questions! Even long before taking up long distance running as my main interest as 12-13y. old school kid, my main hobby was philosophy and especially the few basic questions: what was before "the beginning", what is Time, is there "Truth"/how does our brain comprehend the world ?

Again questions that we can not really answer; but the world runs plays w. the idea of letting our whole body explore them!
