Goto: 2010-02-07 2010-02-09 Africa
2010-02-08:Distance today: 26.0 km (Accumulated: 20452.0 km)
Elapsed time: 02:44:51
Country: Africa
Start 10:01am., at green roadsign "Port Alfred 90km" on the R72 to Pt. Alfred. 23c, half cloudy and l. wind. Finish 13:24pm, at "<- Hamburg" on the R72 to Pt. Alfred. 26c, humid, o.c. and same.
A very humid stage with some serious hill running. The legs had a major 'off day'so I decided to make it a short stage before changing support-team from Renette & Tony of East London to Rob and his whife who is my host for the next couple of days.
Ron is member of the Port Alfred running club and - has been doing longdistance running for 40 years ! It makes even my 26 y. of competetive running a 'warmup' :-)
Nb: the data for the reports 8-12 Feb. has been recovered from my broken spare nokia phone. The start & finish times is notaccurate for these reports. But the precise gps-data from the stages is avaliable at sportstracker and documentation pictures at the world run gallery.
