Distance today: 38.0 km (Accumulated: 17812.8 km)
Elapsed time: 03:42:46
Country: Africa

Start 09:20am. at tarmac-marker, white paint, "78.000", ca. 80km N. of Gorongoso, on the EN1-hwy to Maputo. 23c, allm. o.c. and l. wind. Finish 14:42pm. At tarmac-marker, white paint, "40.000", ca. 38km N. of Gorongoso, on the EN1-hwy to Maputo. 33c, clear/heat mist and same.
The tiredness slowly beginning to give way to enjoying the spectacular views of mt. Gorongoso. We have plans of making a visit into the interior of the wildlife reservation wich we are running along the boundaries of.. Perhaps in 3days when passing the main gate.

I'd be happy to take the oppotunity of arestday ;-) But I think the majority is more inclined towards a short early-morning stage and then safari & heading for an overnighting spot inside the park. ( With two teammates in the 60'ties its hard to admit that I'm the one wich feels a hundred' and not 38yo. after the stages ;-)

But will be a neatoppotunity to see more of the animals of this great contry !!

On a daily basis I mostly see goats (& in Ethiopia and N. Kenya cattle and hyenas) along w. many exotic birds - though on occation also elephants and zeebra.
