Start 09:58am. at wooden sign on tree "Nemana Mungo" just S. of unknown village, 35km N. of Tanga on the dust-rd. to Tanga. 28c, very Humid, half o.c. and l. wind. Finish 14:43pm. At "Tanga Fuel Storage Terminal" at N. end of Tanga city. 32c and same.

Comments we hear from bypassers along the coast on the reddustroad; villeagers, bicyclists, women washing, shopkeepers, farmers, schoolchildren and the men watching 'the world go by' while their whifes are working: "Mambo - Jambo !", "Ham Jambo ?", "Poole Pooolè :-)", "KARIBU !!" ...

That translates into something like Hello/All is Fine !! How are You ? Slowly but Surely :-) Welcome !!
