Start 10:05am., at unknown bridge and rockpile 145km S. of Moyale, on the main rd. to Nairobi. 28c, half o.c. and hwy. wind. Finish 13:35pm., at rockpile 165km S. of Moyale, 50m after marker-stone "390" [to tar. road/A2 ?], on the main rd. to Nairobi. 34c and same.

Tough stage even though short distance. Found place to set the tents by clearing the ground for volcanic rocks.

Beautiful silent night amongst the rocks, the wind & the full moon !
