Start 09:05am., at small rockpile 133km S. of Moyale, on the main rd. to Nairobi. 26c, half. o.c. and l. wind. Finish 10:24am., at unknown bridge and rockpile 145km S. of Moyale, on the main rd. to Nairobi. 32c and same.

- The luck continues !
When we got ready to drive out to the route in the volcanic desert this morning after tenting in Tubi village the car couldnt start. Probably battery or starter. We eventually got help to push-start the car but thats no way to go into a desert so we had to head for the nearest repairshop. 120km up the rock-road - or 4hours bumping & eardeafening drive !

.. Interesting pondering how that is going to be possible to run (volcanic rocks). Was curious and did the first 12k on the route. Even 6min/km is impossible to keep; atleast if I want to avoid cutting up the hands when falling on the sharp rocks - once has been pleanty to learn that.But since we didnt want to risk the car going out' (it was ideling while waiting at the rest-stops), it was enough w. 12km; and by the way also enough for me to know what kind of challenge is ahead the next 100km: rock running w. an injured knee.. here we go ! ;-)
