Two light stages and the fever eases of again !
Surprising that the pace on the 42.2km stage two days ago hit the body that hard ! Could be the 50km the day before yet its still a far way from the average earlier in the run or during world run one.
Yet, ofcourse the body adapts to the conditions given and after a year of 6min/km pace even 5 min/km feel like a 1500m pace ;-)
- Amazing as the pace (3:38h on the watch, 3:50h w. water breaks) is more than 1h. 10min. slower than pb. or even more clear: 40min. slower than the 2:55h/marathon splits when doing 100km pb... 2,5 times shorter and yet 40min. slower on 'just' one marathon and not having to run straight on for 1and 1/2 marathon more. Very great indeed ;-))
But I guess its in essence to exchange speed for endurence, and endurence for stubboness !
