Another HOT day ! Not much other to say about that.
In principle it would solve the heat-problem to run during the night, as I did while running across the Nullabor Desert in Australia during world run one in 2004-2005.
- Night-running in those types of climate is a spectacular experiense;perfect temperature, empty roads and a bright band of stars, the Milky Way, clear above !
Seeing the constellations slowly change as the night progresses; just as the stars themselves change over millions of years but wich we cant see in our short lives - though not shorter than we can run around our own planet several times, if we want :-)
But night-running isnt an option having to use the tent most of the days here. As sleeping during daytime is virtually impossible when there is no shadow to be found on the savannah or in the desert (in Nullabor I slept in aircon. "roadhouses"/motels between the nights).
So - its daytime 'sauna running' untill the Ethiophian highlands..
But tomorrow I have a visit from Khartoum to look forward to :-)
