Start 18:08pm. At Deffintoad Hotel, Wadi Halfa. 29c, allmost clear and l. wind. Finish 19:32pm. 5.0 km after the Southern police-control in Wadi Halfa (see gps-position in Live gps /LifePilot. 27c and dark.

Finally moving out of Wadi Halfa; and into the unknown - Sahara, skorpions, snakes, sand and beautifully sunsets (should be one on the live pictures that I got working 15min. before start !! :-).

The signal is quite fragile even this short out of Wadi Halfa, where Jamie and Dee - my support drivers, and I, have set tents in the sanddunes. There might not be reports untillwe reach Dongola village, ca. 3days/120km of running up the road.

Nb: An unusually short stage as we got stopped at the police checkpoint exiting Wadi H. When formalities was done the sun was touching horizon and quickly too dark to proceed.
.. The first part of the day went fixing one new problem after the other w. our car, a battered bright yellow Pegeout 504 retired taxi. And when a car have been retired as taxi in Sudan; well.. you imagine ;-)
