Start 08:30am, at Nile Hotel in Luxor. 19c, clear and l. wind. Finish-1 13:08pm. 15:17pm start again.
Finish-2: 17:18pm at police controlpoint at exit to Isna on main rd. to Aswan. 36c, humid and no wind.

Egypt days ;-)

Had another 'Egypt' day..
Stopped at 40km and wanted toset the tent. Strong sun and light diarea. Found a perfect spot at the banks of the Nile.
5min.: 2 children. 15min. and there is a circle of teenagers & children. All chanting the same "Money ! Money, Money !!" (This is a common scenario in Southern Egypt, regardless of poverty or not. Too much tourism can ruin any culture; and here it seems to go from the yongest to the officials').

I give some bisquits and a bottle of 7up and that quiets the 'fans' for a while. Untill the hands again is down into bags and stroller...
1h. later the police arr. and its time for the grown up version; control time. I pack the tent and run on.

On the positives: Its my good friend and wr2 coordinator, Phil Essam,s birthday !!
Also nice to see how the elder from the village nearby came and braught the children to order (wich lasted untill he went away ;-) And the dignity and reserved kindness of the women.

I guess it shows that you are better off not seeing the world in positives & neg., but as it is :-)

Ps: The hotel in Isna is.. Most likely a violation of the term "Hotel" ;-)
Dante would have been electric w. inspiration. But atleast the darkgreen thing growing along the bathroom floor makes it soft to tread on.
