Prague !
First planning day of the new re-vised scedule through the Czech Republic and onto our route towards Istanbul and Cape Town. We chose Prague as the natural place to seek information reg. the details to plan the Czech stages - and conveniently on the way to the 24h. competetion in Berlin.
Immideately as we stepped out of the train in Prague we met Allan from the Scandinavian House in P.
- What a pleasant coincidense !! :-)
Allan invited us to visit their office 200m away on the next street: They advice Scandinavians and makes links to Czech business etc. Perfect :-) He quickly chased up old contacts along our route and had heaps of advice and even got us a cheaper price on our hotel right in the heart of the old citycentre of Prague. THANKS Allan!!
The city itself: WOW :-) what a firework of culture - intensity - inspiration - bohemian lifestyle and a main source for European litterature and composers through past centuries; now finding its legs as one of Europes cultural main centres after a 'quiet period' during the cold war where the iron curtain was drawn on it and shaded its cultural role for decades.
