Last sunset in Poland

This is our last eveming in the tents, on Polish ground. I'll write our overall impressions tomorrow where we expect to run across the Czech border - expect it to be honest as allways; for what are thesereports worth if they are not our honest impressions !

Today I took my real farewell w. Poland: sitting in the tent on a hillside, looking at the sunset over a mountain village, sounds of kids playing football on the other side of the valley, a quiet river flowing below us, distant dogs barking. It has been a good day :-)
A 711m. mountain pass, punching our way over w. the feet in the tarmac and the rain pouring down from above. We loved the challenge. And we love challenges, thats why we are ultrarunners.

- And Poland has ceartainly been a challenge. But not so much the running as other things ! Yet, with Polands history; suffering the bruntality of both world wars like allmost no other contry (beeing geopolitically squeezed in the middle of the european the battlefields), what are our problems compared ? Nothing !
And if most people come across more courious than directly wellcoming; who could blame them ? Not I !!

But I do look forward to the Czech Republic and meeting my friend and competitor Vlastimil like you couldnt imagine :-)
