Backtrack !
Today some problems getting phone-connection to transmit our gps live signal during the first hour of the run.
When we got connection and the sys. started to work we decided to re-start in order to keep the on-line documentation 100 percent correct. This meant a 10km backtrack - but my way of doing these runs is raughter running an extra mile or hour or day to make a full doc. all the way. One of the cornerstones to journey/expedition running is never to cut corners :-)
Our sponsor in 'state of the art' documentation system is danish LifePilot. Even when things out of their control makes troubles like lacking phone-gps-carrying signal at start today, they too go an extra mile to make things work. As for example our contact at LP, Jacob, who even on sundays is back w. quick support. Thank You :-))
Behind the total run - and my colleague in 2 years of planning the wr2 - is Australian ultrarunner Phil Essam who is coordinating the run! You'll get an extensive presentation of "the man behind the run" further down the road of daily reports. Right now Sarah and I got to get out and run :-)
