Start 12:00, 15c, almost clear & light wind, at Pennrose Ave./George C. Platt Memorial Bridge, Philadelphia. Finish 16:27pm., 17c & same, at green mile-marker "34" on hwy. 73.

A very diverse stage, running through Philadelphia from its heavy industrial areas, waste dumps under the highways - to the centre with vibrant naighbourhoods.

Its been a tough run along the highways of the East Coast and its no secret that I do dream of Canada very often now. But that doesnt mean that its without its thrills to within a few hours running pass from one extreme of big city life to the other !

PS: For those with a keen eye for irony there is a little surprising/? detail in the slideshow from this stage ;-)
